I was commissioned to photograph the Japanese Garden in Cornwall several times capturing the different seasons. This is one place i would happily photograph everyday! It is such a peaceful, tranquil space in which you can get wonderfully lost in. The changing seasons transformed the place each time i entered the garden & although everything looked very different, the feeling remained the same; total relaxation.
My photographs of this place attempt to communicate the feeling i had when i was there & to show off some of the incredible colours of the plants i found on my visits. Interestingly, i found myself shooting the space very differently in the winter due to the amazing shapes that were more hidden during my summer commission. This is a garden that was built for form not just colour & foliage!
The photographs have been published in a variety of magazines promoting the Japanese Garden, & were used on the business website, leaflets and postcards.
